Registration details

How can I pay for Button?

By credit card: We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

By PO: During the registration process, select “PO” under payment options. You will receive a link to your invoice once registration is complete. Submit this invoice to your purchasing department to create a PO.

By check: During the registration process, select “check” under payment options. You will receive a link to your invoice once registration is complete, which will include mailing information and payment instructions.

By wire transfer: During the registration process, select “wire transfer” under payment options. You will receive a link to your invoice once registration is complete, which will include bank information and payment instructions.

Can my team register for Button as a group?

Yes. During the registration process, you’ll have the option to add additional attendees. For groups of three or more, enter code GROUP100 (for each person during the registration process) to get $100 off for each attendee. For groups of 10+, contact us for special team pricing.

Are there any discounts available?

Yes. Qualifying attendees may use the associated code for $100 off ticket price. (Please note that discount codes cannot be combined.)

  • Groups of three or more: GROUP100
  • Higher ed employees: HIGHERED100
  • Nonprofit employees: NONPROFIT100

Students and freelancers also qualify for discounted pricing on the recordings-only pass. Please contact us for more information.

Can I just buy the recordings?

Yes, you can purchase access to the main conference talk recordings for $695. You’ll have access to the recordings and downloadable slides through September 2024. Recordings are not available for the October 16 or 17 workshops. Just select the 2023 recordings-only option when you register.

Can I share the conference recordings with other people?

No. Emails and passwords are unique to each registration and can only be used by one attendee.

Can I attend Button online/virtually?

No, unfortunately we’re not able to host a synchronous virtual event this year. We know this is a big change, and we’re sorry this means some folks won’t be able to attend.

We are working on future opportunities for the Button community to gather online, so sign up for the mailing list to stay in the loop.

Can I cancel my event registration if I can’t attend?

Yes, if you cancel your ticket by:

  • June 23, 2023 (5:00 p.m. CST), you will receive a 75% refund of total fees.
  • July 21, 2023 (5:00 p.m. CST), you will receive a 50% refund of total fees.
  • September 1, 2023 (5:00 p.m. CST), you will receive a 25% refund of total fees.

No refunds are available after September 2, 2023. We do not offer refunds on recordings-only purchases. Review our full terms and conditions.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. The deadline to transfer your ticket is 5:00 p.m. CST on September 15, 2023. Contact us to complete a transfer. Review our full terms and conditions.

Do you have a code of conduct?

Yes. We aim to make Button a friendly, welcoming conference where every attendee feels safe and included. Review the Button code of conduct.

Will there be any health and safety requirements?

At the moment, no. Of course, in the best interest of attendees, sponsors, and staff, we will continue to monitor local COVID-19 trends and meet or exceed protocols set by local governments. When you register for Button, you’ll be asked to agree to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event (e.g. wearing masks, providing proof of vaccination status and/or providing proof of negative COVID-19 test). Government mandates, venue protocols, and event requirements are subject to change.
